March 12, 1948- May 17, 2020
Cruising into the great beyond, Tom left this life on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at the age of 72 years. Tom Furlong of Elmvale, leaves behind his loving wife of 30 years, Gwen, his two sons, Brian and Jeffrey, granddaughter Crissy White, and an extended family.
Tom loved nothing more than his dream car, a 1957 Chevy Belair. He belonged to the Wasaga Beach Cruisers, and enjoyed spending time talking about old cars. Another passion of Tom’s was baseball, and he was involved with the local Ball Dogs Team. After working in Toronto for De Havilland for many years, Tom then moved back to his family home in Elmvale and worked for Barrie Metals. Upon his retirement, Tom enjoyed working at odd jobs around town and tinkering with his Chevy.
A private family memorial will take place at a later date.
If desired, memorial donations to OSPCA and Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
