PLAYER, WILLIAM CHARLES

The Family of Bill Player are deeply saddened to announce his passing on Dec 8th, 2020 in his 74th year.

Bill’s love and passion will forever be missed by his adoring wife Joanne.

His enormous hugs and awful jokes will be greatly missed by his children Jodie (Gabe) Delgado, Billie Player, Jeremy (Lyndsay) Wood and Tosh (Jason) Taylor.

His infectious laugh and love of ice cream will be missed by his grandchildren Kennedy, Kirby, Liam, Sarah, Declan, Erin and Rory.

Bill’s sisters, Edith (the late Donald) French and Shirley (the late Jim) Gleadall, always near and dear to his heart will miss their little brother dearly.

Predeceased by his Father Lionel,  Mother Marietta,  brother Leonard and sister-in-law Grace.

Bill will also be very sadly missed by his Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Fred and Evelyn Harpell as well as his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Sheila (Peter) Stephens, David (Lisa) Harpell and Glenn (Jessica) Harpell. Lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bill’s life is one that should be remembered as a life well lived, a life lived exactly how he wanted to live it. He had a bold spirit and wonderful dreams. He and Joanne spent many years side by side and loved being in each other’s company. If that’s not living life, then what is?

A private family graveside service will be held at Saint John’s Anglican Church Cemetery in Craighurst.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Donations to The Jumpstart Sport Relief Fund or Hospice Simcoe would be appreciated.
