It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jane Ann Paeden. Jane passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 15th, surrounded by her family at Simcoe Hospice after a courageous two and a half year battle with brain cancer. She is survived by her husband and best friend of over fifty years, Wayne Paeden. Dear mother of Craig Paeden (Angele Guillemette) and Angie Paeden-Platt (Ryan Platt). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Madi Paeden, Jack Paeden, Rianna Platt, Johnny Platt, and Ashlyn Guillemette. Predeceased by her father Buck Cowle and remembered fondly by her siblings Nancy Cowle, Dan Cowle, and Vicki Cowle and her mother Bonnie Cowle. Jane’s many nieces and nephews, and dear friends will remember her for her big heart, infectious laugh, vibrant energy, active lifestyle and her love for sunrises, sunsets, beaches, and palm trees.
Jane loved spending time with family and friends. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Jane always put others before herself and had an innate desire to care for others leading her to her career as a Life Enrichment Coordinator at Victoria Manor. Living life to its fullest, she and Wayne spent their winters in their home away from home in Sarasota, Florida and travelled to many different places in the past several years. Jane could often be found on the pickle ball court or playing with her grandkids. She will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched.
A celebration of life will take place in the spring. The family would like to thank Simcoe Hospice for supporting Jane and her family through a peaceful transition. Donations can be made in Jane's name to Simcoe Hospice at hospicesimcoe.ca
