TINNEY, LOIS PEARL (nee ARCHER)

Passed away on July 23, 2017 in Georgian Bay General Hospital after a brief illness.  Lois was born September 1, 1926 at Orr Lake.  Growing up, she developed a love of nature and animals which continued throughout her life. In 1946, she married Eldon Tinney. Together over a span of 60 years they built a wonderful life & family. Lois and Eldon farmed and raised their daughters in the Medonte area. In 1993, Lois and Eldon retired from the farm to live in the village of Elmvale. Lois loved to socialize and be active.  She was an avid gardener and downhill skier.  She loved to be out and about with her ski buddies, Aqua-Fit and church friends. Family was very important to Lois.  She loved having the house full of her family.  She was happiest when she could sit in the middle of the fun and watch the action.  Lois also loved to travel to be with family and see the world.  She was blessed to be able to spend time with all of her great-grandchildren and marveled at how amazing each of them was.  She was so thankful for the family-time spent together on Vancouver Island to celebrate her 90th year.

Lois is survived by her brother, Don Archer (Audrey); daughter, Gail Shewchuk; daughter, Carol Campbell (Rick); granddaughter, Terra Shewchuk (Gavin Meyers) and great-granddaughter Zooey; granddaughter, Riki Campbell and great-grandchildren, Harley & Holly; grandson, Evan Shewchuk and great-grandchildren, Aleksandr & Una; grandson, Noel Campbell; and many nieces and nephews.  Lois was predeceased by husband Eldon; sisters Joan Barnard, Vivian Jones & Lucille McKee; brother, Robert Archer; and son-in-law Terry Shewchuk.

A celebration of her life will take place in Elmvale on July 27, 2017.
