Passed away peacefully in her 85th year on April 23, 2018 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, surrounded by her loving family following an unwavering, courageous battle. Forever missed by her husband of 61 years, Jim Sommerville and her 3 children; Sharon (Alan Nielsen), Colleen (John Shiels) and Glenn (Sonya). Fondly remembered by her 8 grandchildren; Allison and Eric Nielsen, Matthew, Lauren and Nicholas Shiels, and Sabrina, Julia and Rebecca Sommerville.
Cremation has taken place.
The family will welcome visitors at a memorial gathering at St. John's United Church, 27 Yonge St. South, Elmvale, Ontario L0L1P0, on Saturday, May 5th from 1-3 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John's United Church or a charity of your choice made in Lois' name would be appreciated.
