It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Lionel Childs on Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie. Lionel Childs of Barrie in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Thelma Childs (nee Davidson). Dear father of Kim (Kurt) Hitt, late Todd (Aline) Childs, Glenn (Christine) Childs, Debbie (John) Kennedy, Cathy (Paul) Stanfield, and Jim (Nicole) Fowler. Loved grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Brother of Audrey Watson, Cliff, Lorne, Cyril and the late Floyd and Orrie Childs. Lionel will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Lionel's life will be held on Sunday, September 2, 2018 from 2 pm – 5 pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 93 Berczy St, Barrie, ON.
