FRANCE, ROBERT WILLIAM

Passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe with his family by his side on Wednesday, December 11, 2019.  Bob France of Oro-Medonte in his 67th year.  Beloved husband of Sandy France (nee Van Den Oetelaar).  

Loving father of Kristen Hill (Bill) and Amanda France.  Grandpa of Nathan and Karalyn and his fur-grandchildren Jake and Holly.  Brother of Marvene (Rick) and Chris (Reg).  Brother in law of Cathalina (Adrian), Mike (Cindy), Annette (Wayne), and Geraldine (Dan).  Son of the late Robert and Jennie France.  Bob will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. 

Bob was a proud volunteer with the Oro-Medonte Station 6 fire department for over 30 years, and the Orillia OPP Auxiliary for 21 years.  Bob had a love of family, life, flying, music and mustangs.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Thank you to our family, friends, neighbours, Bob's Firefighting and OPP Auxillary family, colleagues from Brinks and Sears, his morning coffee buddies, Bayshore Home Health, the team at RVH Cancer Centre, St. Michael's in Toronto, Hospice Simcoe in Barrie for his end of life care and support, and the Lynn-Stone Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held at the Lynn-Stone Funeral Home in Elmvale from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Saturday, December 14.  Funeral Mass at St. Patrick's Church in Phelpston on Monday, December 16 at 11 am.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Simcoe in Bob's memory.
