Peacefully departed after a brief cancer battle, on Sunday January 31, 2021, surrounded by the love of her family. Linda Marshall, of Midland, treasured wife of Everett Marshall. Much loved mother to Kathy (Terry) Archer, Karen (Louie) Gialedakis, predeceased by Kris (survived by Dave) Weatherill, Robert (Helen), Ronda (Bill) Ellery and Robin (Mike) McKeown. Proud grandmother of Shelby, Marc, Dawn, Taidgh (Kayllie), Sydney, Kayla (Cody), Justin (Georgia) and Aaron (Morgen) and great grandmother of Dylan, Jacob and Lincoln. Linda is survived by her two loving brothers, Jim and Shane and her beloved sister Shanna.
Linda grew up in Midland, ON and was the oldest daughter of Jesse and Ozzie Downer. She loved spending time with her nine siblings. As a young woman, Linda worked as a Bell Operator alongside some of her sisters. Linda met her beloved husband Everett, and after marrying she was happiest raising their six children on the farm. Linda shared her love of baking, gardening and most importantly how to take care of one another. She was involved in many local organizations including Midland Fall Fair Society as a Director and President, Agricultural Society, Wye Marsh, Discovery Harbour, Martyr’s Shrine, Terry Fox Foundation, and she attended many parades with Everett and the horses. Linda had a great sense of humour, was a huge fan of Elvis, the Royals, puzzles and TRIVIA. She loved to laugh and she loved with all her heart. Affectionately known to friends and family as “Didi”, her absence will leave a large hole in many hearts, but especially with Everett, her soul mate of 53 years.
A private family service will be held at Lynn-Stone Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 3rd at 1 pm. You may view the service via YouTube: Search: Lynn-Stone Funeral Home, starting at 12:50.
Spring interment will be held at Wyevale Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Mackenzie Blake, Bayshore Nursing and Lisa Lesperance.
