It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Orval, on March 31, 2021. James Orval Elliott, in his 87th year, devoted husband of the late Patricia (Lennox). Loving father of Sandy (Mike) Townes, and Lorrie (Ron) Giffen. Cherished Grandfather of Megan (Max), Patrick (Samantha), Kelsey (Michael) and Molly (Joey). Adoring Great Grandfather of six Great Grandsons. Proud Uncle Orv to many special nieces and nephews. Brother of Ed (Joy), Jack (Dorothy), Ron (Nancy), Peggy (Bob) Hebden, and the late Jerry and Sharon Elliott. Brother-in-law of Laura (Allan) McNabb, Jennifer (Gord) Roberts, Bill (Beth), Andrew (Cathy) and the late Greg and Larry Lennox. He is predeceased by his parents Jim and Polly Elliott, and his In-laws Clara and Frank Lennox. Orv’s memory will be treasured by his dear cousins and his best friend Dick Cain. He will also be fondly remembered by friends, neighbors and business associates and he will be greatly missed by all. Orv retired as Service Manager at Equipment Sales and Service, Rexdale after a thirty-five year career. He moved to Wasaga Beach, close to his Edenvale roots, and enjoyed canoe trips on the Nottawasaga, hiking, skiing, or snowshoeing on Blueberry Plains, hosting cleanup days on Powerline Road (now Veteran’s Drive) and many adventures with Pat and his grandchildren. He was a kind, level-headed, genuine gentleman, who was always his happiest when helping others. Special thanks to the amazing team at the Sara Vista, Elmvale, who ensured Orval’s safety and wellbeing over the past year during the most challenging of circumstances.
