Passed away peacefully at Woods Park Care Centre, Barrie, on Monday, November 8, 2021 in her 96th year. Predeceased by her husband Herbert Draper, sons David (the late Lynn) and Clinton, brother Charles and her parents William and Rose Perkins. Cherished mother of Sharon (Guy) Maracle, Brenda (Terry) Parke, Heather O'Neill, Eric (Christine), Peggy (Tom) French, Allan (Joan) and Fern Draper (Dale). She will be lovingly remembered by a plethora of grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as her nieces and nephews. In her younger years, when Hazel wasn't working seasonally for the Ministry of Natural Resources, she busied herself with gardening, baking, knitting and caring for her family. She was an avid reader enjoying mysteries and Harlequin Romance novels. She loved that the pages of books could carrry her to far off places.
Friends may call at the Lynn-Stone Funeral Home, Elmvale, on Thursday, November 11th from 6 pm to 8 pm.
A Graveside Service will be held at the Elmvale Cemetery on Friday at 1 pm. Covid protocols will be in place. The family requests that you wear a mask to attend the service.
