Passed away peacefully at Hillcrest Village, Midland on Thursday, April 14th. Born on January 13, 1931 in Mumbai, India. Ignatius (Iggy) D'Costa, beloved husband of the late Alba D'Costa. Cherished father of Pat (Gary) and Jennifer (Kevin). Loving grandfather to Ryan (Bailey) and Andrea. Ignatius will be fondly remembered by many relatives and friends.
Ignatius and his daughters immigrated to Canada in 1972 from Kampala, Uganda. He spent his career working at Toronto Dominion Bank and his retirement volunteering at the Heart & Stroke Foundation and preparing taxes for seniors. He was always an active member of the church community. Ignatius will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity and his "love of sweets".
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 30th at Lynn-Stone Funeral Home in Elmvale. The service can be viewed on YouTube beginning at 10:50 am. Search: Lynn-Stone Funeral Home
