Passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie on Friday, May 20, 2022. Vera Wood (nee Maw) of Barrie, formerly of Minesing in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Harry Wood. Dear mother of Harold (Debra) Wood of Moonstone. Grandmother of Christina Wood (Donovan White) and Tracy (Jason) Hill. Sister of the late Jack (survived by Deloris) Maw, Arthur (survived by Yvonne) Maw, late Fred (Audrey) Maw, Glen (late Peggy) Maw, Winston (survived by Marilyn) Maw, Doris (late Raymond) Ward, and the late Helen (Del) Priest.
Visitation will be held at the Lynn-Stone Funeral Home in Elmvale from 11-1 pm on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. A funeral service will be in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday at 1 pm.
The family has respectfully asked that if you’re attending the funeral, please wear a mask.
Interment Minesing Cemetery.
