FERNEY, JILLIAN ANN

November 17, 1972 – September 29, 2022

After a brave and courageous battle with glioblastoma, it is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved Jillian in her 50^th year. Cherished daughter of Lynn Morden (Brian, pre-deceased), and the late Robert Ferney. She will be profoundly missed by the love of her life, her precious son, Maxwell. Jill was the dear sister to Rebecca Ferney (Michael) and proud auntie to Bryson and Sophie Baker. She will be lovingly remembered by her extended family and many wonderful friends. Working with children and families was Jillian’s passion and she excelled and enjoyed a successful career, having graduated from Georgian College with a degree in Resource Teaching. Early in her career she enjoyed travelling the world while working as a supervisor of children’s programming for Princess Cruise Lines. Most recently she was employed as a Director for Community Living Huronia. The family will be forever grateful for the support of Dr. Jackie Lai, Hospice Simcoe, and Bayshore Home Care Solutions. Jill had an incredible joy for life and people. Her sense of humour was contagious. She will be missed by all the lives she touched. Jill leaves us with one final wish: “May your hearts always be full of love.”

A Celebration of Life for Jillian will be held on Saturday, October 8^th at Elmvale Lion’s Club 1979 Flos Rd. West, Elmvale, ON from 1 – 4 pm. Eulogies will be at 2:30 pm.
