WATSON, SHIRLEY EDITH (nee PRIEST)

Passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Sara Vista Long Term Care Centre. Shirley Watson of Elmvale was the beloved wife of the late Malcolm Watson and late James Park. Dear sister of her only surviving sibling, Patsy (Ron) McAuley. Predeceased by her brothers, Melville (Helen) Priest, Delbert (Helen) Priest, Verle (survived by Shirlie) Priest and her parents, John and Mary Jane Priest. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews as well as the Watson family. Shirley was a long time and loyal member of St. John’s United Church. She was an active Probus member and worked for 40 years with the Ministry of Agriculture in their Elmvale office. In her early retirement years she became a world traveler and enjoyed painting. Many of her paintings were gifted to family and friends.   

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 10^th from 6 to 8 pm at Lynn-Stone Funeral Home, Elmvale.

Funeral service at St. John’s United Church, Elmvale, at 1 pm on Saturday, with a visitation beginning at 12 noon.

Spring interment at Elmvale Cemetery.
