STOTT, MARION JEAN (nee MARTIN)

Passed away peacefully on Friday, March 24, 2023 at the Villa Care Centre in Midland.  Marion Stott of Midland (formerly of Wyevale) in her 85^th year.  Beloved wife of the late Arthur Lorne Ross and George Martin Stott.  Dear mother of the late Arthur (survived by Paulette) Stott, Yvonne (Greg) Giffen, Sherry (Doug) Johnson, and Ken (Jackie) Stott.  Proud and loving grandmother to Paul, George, late Corby, Jason, Jayde, Vanessa, Daikan, Kendra, and Nicole.  Great-grandmother of Brayden, Wesley, Brian, Landon, Alyssa, Blake, Prestin, Maeve, Shae, Louis, Victoria, and Elisabeth.

Marion was very talented and hard working; she was a mother, a farmer’s wife, and co-owner of the Cricklewood Restaurant.  She loved cake decorating, making many wedding cakes for family and friends.  Marion also had a love for gardening, flowers, and helping out in the community.  She taught Sunday school and played the organ at the Wyevale United Church for over 30 years. 

We would like to thank the staff at the Villa Care Centre, Blue Jay Wing and Dr. Herman Jilesen for the wonderful care they provided to mom.

A visitation will be held at the Lynn-Stone Funeral Home in Elmvale from 12:30 pm – 2 pm on Wednesday, March 29.  A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 2 pm.

Memorial donations in Marion’s memory may be made to the Wyevale United Church, or the Alzheimer’s Society.
