Ehling, Marlies Hedwig Elise (nee Grages) September 21,1928 - March 22, 2023.
Passed away peacefully at Georgian Bay Retirement Lodge, knowing she was loved by her chosen family. Predeceased by her husband Werner Otto Ehling (1994).
Marlies was "Tante Marlies" to three generations: Christine de Maria and family (Kate, Ryan, and Robbie) , Irene & Perry Rautanen and family (Eric & Marla and their children Elliot & Madden, and Matthew & Madison).
In past years Marlies was a world traveller and visited many fascinating places. She was an avid crafter and enjoyed papertole, knitting and crocheting. Marlies loved animals and adopted several pets from local animal shelters, who, like her, all lived long and happy lives. .
We will miss visits, cups of tea, and sharing family news with her.
Cremation has taken place, and at her request there will be no service.
If desired, donations can be made in her memory to The Georgian Triangle Humane Society (gths.ca ) or to a local animal shelter of your choice.
