BROCK, FLORENCE MARGARET (nee TAYLOR)

April 23, 1921 - April 15, 2023

Passed away peacefully at Hillcrest Village Care Centre just one week before her 102nd birthday. Florence Brock (nee Taylor), beloved wife of the late Allison Isaac 'Ike' Brock and cherished sister to the late Flo Allen of Toronto. Florence was a dear Aunt to many nieces and nephews and a great protector and friend to as many animals as possible. She was born in Toronto, Ontario where she enjoyed the city life and a career in the fashion industry until her late thirties when she met the love of her life, Ike Brock, and moved north! They married in 1961 and Flo came to live with Ike in Wyevale. What a lucky turn for Wyevale! Florence was an avid volunteer and loved to help out. Together they were pillars of the community where they worked tirelessly at church suppers and Silent Auctions, whatever the request, they were there to lend a hand!

Aunt Flo and Uncle Ike thoroughly enjoyed living at Bluewater Beach and then later Parry Sound, while spending winters in Florida. Flo loved the sunshine and playing tennis and shuffleboard. She LOVED to fish and enjoyed the water and would never pass up a game of cards. In her more senior years, she moved down from Parry Sound to Elim Retirement Home in Waubaushene to be closer to her niece Ellen (Greaves) Bader...and a little later to Hillcrest Village Care Centre in Midland. Ellen visited Aunt Flo regularly and got to know the staff at Hillcrest Village and would dearly like to thank everyone there for all the love and support they showed Aunt Flo over the past 8 years.

Respecting Florence's wish there will not be a service. If you wish to make a donation in her memory know that she would be grateful for donations to Wyevale United Church - 846 County Road 6 South, Tiny, ON L0L 2T0 (www.wyevaleuc.ca).

Interment will take place at Wyevale Cemetery.
