Passed away peacefully at Georgian Manor, Penetanguishene on Monday, January 15, 2024. Dear wife of the late Donald MacDonald (2021). Cherished and very loved Mother of Beverley (late Gordon) Leonard and Allen Mosley and Kenneth and daughter-in-law Mae. Proud Grandma to Darrell (late Kim Jones) and Kim Foster, Michelle and Mark, Karla and Joel. Great Grandma to Justin, Tyler, Zoe, Maddox, Lucas, Nathan, Allie and Molly.
Sister of the late Graham (Mary) Strath and Wreatha (late Elgin) Speers. Sister-in-law to Allister (late Vi) Lorraine and the late Earl, George and Irene, Dennis and Cathy. Aunt Grace will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews and friends in the community area and staff on Sumac Wing.
After 93 accomplishing years Grace`s life included being a farm wife and worker, Sunday School teacher, 4-H leader, involved in Women`s Institute, Lioness Club, Elmvale Seniors and a helpful neighbour and a true friend to so many. The family will treasure her knitted sweaters, toques, mitts, socks, knitted and crochet afghans and bedspreads, her quilts, needlepoint and lastly her scrumptious and delicious baking and preserves.
Despite suffering from arthritis and loss of her eyesight, Grace lived a long, loving life and she left a treasure trove of happy memories for all who knew her.
Honouring Mom`s request, cremation has taken place and there will be a private family graveside service in the spring.
If desired memorial donations may be made to Georgian Manor Bus Campaign or the charity of your choice.
The family wishes to thank the staff (present and past) on Sumac for their love, compassion and care for Mom.
