HACOCK, DONALD BRUCE

Passed peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital on Thursday January 11th 2024 at the age of 79.

Born February 11 1944, he served his community by joining the Metro Toronto Police Force, as a volunteer firefighter and driving a school bus. In Don’s younger years, he loved the water and would often spend summers at Wasaga Beach and Woodland Beach with his parents and siblings. He later bought property in Woodland Beach and built his own cottage where Don and his wife Jean would spend much of their summers with their three children Ian, Glen, and Yvonne. In 2001 Don and Jean started their next adventure and opened an ice cream shop in Woodland Beach called The Beach Frog Ice Cream and Grill. Don will always be remembered as a people person who loved to tell jokes and laugh often.

Left behind is his loving wife of 52 years Jean Hacock (Arthur)

He was a proud father to Ian (Heather), Glen (Amy), Yvonne (late Rocco) Grandfather (Papa) to Bailey, Isabell, Jocelyn, Matteo and Rosalina. Brother to Bill (Heather), George (Joan), Carolyn (late Keith Squires), Gary (Barbara) late Douglas Arthur (Jean) and Don Arthur and many nieces and nephews.

Please join us for a visitation January 27th, 2024 held at Lynn Stone Funeral Home in Elmvale, ON from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm followed by a funeral service in the chapel.
