Passed away on February 14, 2024 after a year long battle with cancer.  Robin was born in San Fransisco, CA on August 14, 1962 to Betty Jo and Leon Kind and spent her formative years growing up in Bedford, Nova Scotia. After graduating from Dalhousie University and subsequently, from Law at the University of Toronto (distinction), Robin joined Stikeman Elliot practicing Corporate law before focusing on Environmental law. She joined the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) in 1994. Robin progressed from Senior Environmental Lawyer to General Council and to Executive Vice President/General Council of the 1000 person Provincial Agency. Robin lived Diversity and Inclusion leading OCWA’s D&I program. She had a humbleness and understanding of First Nations implementing a traditional knowledge circle at OCWA and promoting partnering with more than 50 Ontario First Nations. A natural leader, she mentored the senior professionals and Management at the agency with empathy and compassion. Robin was the “heart and soul” of OCWA.

Her interests were many and varied from art, jazz, classical music, poetry & literature to sports. Her knowledge of the history and strategies of NFL football impressed even die hard NFL fans; her mastery and understanding of wines impressed the most experienced sommeliers. She loved playing golf, tennis, skiing and walking the shores of Georgian Bay. Her laughter, sense of humour and true joie de vivre touched all who met her. Robin’s straight forward approach and enthusiasm was infectious. A complex and compassionate woman of wide-ranging interests, Robin had a deep passion for the environment, a love for travel, wine and fine dining and an incredible sense of design. Robin was open-minded, progressive, generous and above all else, loving.

Beyond all of these things was her love for her family. To her husband and family she will always be remembered as a dedicated, loving and attentive sister, godmother, grandmother and wife who supported them in everything, whether it was supporting their careers or pouring them a glass of great wine, she was always there.

Robin and her husband , Rob Andrews moved full time to Balm Beach (Tiny ON) fulfilling Robin’s life long love of being on a beach. Robin is survived by her mother Betty Jo, her two brothers Brooks and Peter (Vanessa), her niece and nephew, Natasha and  Joshua, Mike & Kendra and Matt, Falon and Elle.
