Passed away peacefully at the Georgian Bay General Hospital in Midland on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. Violet Chapman (nee Woods) of Midland in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Donald Chapman. Dear mother of Sheila (Peter), Keith (Sandra), Dale (Bonnie), David (Lorna), John (Shelley), and Carolyn (Donny). Proud and loving grandmother of 18, great-grandmother of 33 and great-great-grandmother of 2. Violet will be missed by her siblings Ed (late Gwen), late Bob (late Helen), late George (survived by Betty), Jim (Donna), David (late Irene), Ross (Carmen), Paul (Laurie), late June, Violet will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Many will remember picking raspberries or buying other fruits and vegetables at Chapman’s Berry Farm on Vasey Road. Violet would often invite you in for raspberry vinegar and whatever dessert she had just made that day.
She will be greatly missed by her friends at Waverley Gospel Hall where Violet attended from when she was a child. Her faith and love for God was always paramount in her life and it was reflected in her daily. She is now in the place that she had talked about and sang about all these years, rejoicing in the one who saved her and prepared a place for her in heaven.

A visitation will be held at the Lynn-Stone Funeral Home in Elmvale from 7-9 pm on Friday, June 21, 2024 as well as Saturday June 22 from 2-3 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, June 22 at 3 pm.
Interment Waverley Gospel Hall Cemetery with a reception at Waverley Gospel Hall to follow.
