It is with profound sadness that we share the news that Jerome “Doc” Moreau of Wyevale has passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025, at Royal Victoria Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. He was in his 82nd year.
Doc was a dedicated and loving husband to his wife Nancy who we lost recently, whom he shared 42 amazing years of marriage with. He was a proud father to sons Jeff (Brooke) and Jody (Beth). A loving Pere to his grandchildren William, Henry, Amelia, Olivia, Alison and Eric.
Doc was a soft spoken, very kind, warm and loving person who with a contagious smile. He was a passionate farmer, an extremely hard-working man who put countless hours in working on the multi-generational family farm. There would be many days where Doc would be up and gone to the farm before sunrise and back home long after the sun went down.
Doc also enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, such as watching the local CTV evening news, playing sudoku, reading the local paper or farm magazines. And, he rarely missed a Toronto Maple Leaf game; he might nod off during the middle, but he always knew the score. Doc was a cheerleader for all his grandchildren in their chosen endeavors. He rarely missed an opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren.
Doc will be missed by his late parents, Ferdinand and Angelina; as well as his brothers and sisters, the late Lawrence (Karen), the late Angelle, Russell (Nancy),Herb (the late Linda), Isabel, Yvonne.
Doc is predeceased by his in-laws, Ron and June, brothers-in-laws, Wayne, Allan and David. He will remain in the hearts of his nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and many friends.
Doc was dedicated employee of Wyevale Concrete, where he worked for 38 years. Doc sustained a workplace accident resulting in the loss of his right arm. After overcoming his injury, he went back to work and farming as if nothing had changed. This did not slow him down; He did more with one arm than most did with two.
The life of this gentle soul will be celebrated on Saturday, March 29th, 10 am St. Patrick’s Church, Perkinsfield.
Eulogies will be said at the reception at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Elmvale.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 28th from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at Lynn- Stone Funeral Home.
