RAWSON, BEVERLY FRANCIS

Born in Hamilton February 25, 1938 - October 1, 2025

Owner of Rawson's Garage in Crown Hill for 44 years.  Proud employee of Miller Paving, Sheba Shrine Member, Life Time Membership to Barrie District Hunters and Anglers Conservation Club, Ontario Hunters and Anglers, Rameses Shrine Temple, Outdoor Canada & Simcoe County Museum.

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.  

Bev was a devoted husband to Caroline (nee Vercammen) Rawson. Loving father to Rhonda (David) Thanasse of Orillia, Bradley (Elaine pre-deceased) Rawson of Kitchener, and Kathy (Jim) Bell of Oro.  Will be sadly missed by Matthew of Innisfil and Jessica (Alan) of Pakenham. He was a cherished  Grandfather to Jennifer (Joe) Conforzi, Craig (Kristen) Thanasse, Tyler (Samantha) Bell, Brock Bell, Melanie (Tim) Young and Quin and Skye.  Great-Grandfather to Marlo, Serena, Elin, Ella, Blake, Oliver, Tanner and Addison.  Bev was pre-deceased by his first wife Joanne (nee McGrath) and his parents Charlie and Mary Rawson. Bev will be fondly remembered by his brothers, Robert (Carol Ann pre-deceased) Rawson, Jim (Margo) Rawson, and Doug (Eloise) Rawson as well as his in-laws, Marion McGrath, Rod (Nancy) McGrath, Sandy Dalton-McGrath, Mary Ann Vercammen and John Vercammen. Pre-deceased by Don and Lorna McGrath, Bev McGrath, Brian and Joanne McGrath.  Bev will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, extended family and countless friends.  He was a rock in times of storm and he will be missed by all. 

Special thanks to long time Friend, employee and "one of the girls" to Sue Curtis for being there through out the years and most importantly the week that was needed the most. 

Special thanks is extended to the staff at RVH Cardiac Floor #4: Dr. Ali, Nurses Taylor, Calvin, Gavin, Kyle, Natasha and special thank you to John.  Bev referred to him as "John the foreman" and all other staff on the floor who assisted in Bev's care with his numerous visits.

A Private Family Service on October 26, 2025 for the family members at 11 am.  A Celebration of life: October 26, 2025 2 pm - 6 pm at the Wheel, Weeping Willow Sandy Cove Acres.  All are welcome.  Cemetery will be at a later date.

Memorial donations in Bev's memory may be made to the Dalston United Church or Parkinson's Foundation of Canada.
