CHANIG, HELEN (nee BARR)

  Passed away with her family beside her at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital, on Monday June 13th 2016 at the age of 63.  Helen Chanig who was born in Midland Ontario on August 18th 1952, daughter to Aleama Mino, Duncan Barr and step daughter to Neil Bumstead. Close sister to Keith Barr, (Linda Barr), Larry Bumstead, (Kathy Bumstead) and Cheryl Bumstead.  Deeply loved by her three children Wanda  Arreola Chanig (Steve Garraway), Crystal McLellan (Jason Mitchell) and Shawn Prager (Edward Brown).  She was an inspirational grandmother to three beautiful grandchildren Summer Secord, Justin Crawford and Diego Arreola.
She was a hero to all she met and loved by all the animals she cared for. Helen enjoyed every living moment with her horse Latte and her dogs Jasmine and Bo.

Friends may call at the Lynn-Stone Funeral Home, Saturday, June 18th, from 2 pm until time of the memorial service, in the chapel, at 3:30 pm.

Memorial donations to O.S.P.C.A., Heart and Stroke Foundation or Lupus Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
