Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, October 20, 2025. Catherine Verlaan (nee Kempers) of Phelpston in her 83rd year.  Beloved wife of Gerald Verlaan.  Dear mother of Lawrence and Timothy (Lindsay).  Proud and loving Oma of Nick, Emily, Cate, and Alice. Pre-deceased by her brother Piet Kempers, her brother John (Norma) Kempers and her brother Joop (Nel) Kempers.  Catherine will be missed by her sister Suze, her sister Dien, her brother Louis and her nieces and nephews, and extended family in Holland and Greece

A visitation will be held at the Lynn-Stone Funeral Home in Elmvale from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Thursday, October 23, 2025.  A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Elmvale on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 2 pm.  Reception to follow the mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church hall.

If desired, memorial donations in Catherine's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and the OSPCA (Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals)
